Private Honey Harvest experience Monday 6th April- add tickets for number of participants
The Workshop will begin at 3 pm and conclude at approximately 4.30 pm. It will be held onsite at Windy Acres Farm, 160 Westbrook Road, Westbrook. Parking on the footpath and entry via the footbridge and gate near the onsite Shop .
IMPORTANT- What to wear
🐝Participants should wear cool loose fitting clothing, preferably long sleeve shirt and pants.
🐝LONG socks and boots/joggers
🐝A cap (this will keep the suit veil off their face)
The bees have a very sensitive sense of smell so NO deodorants, powders, perfumes, insect repellent or sunscreen please.
You will be provided with a protective bee suit and gloves, which I will ensure is securely closed. I may need to use tape to secure the ankles around shoes. Please advise sizes/heights in notes at checkout
We will be using smokers to calm the bees.
We will have a chat before we head into the hives about what to expect and how to move around the bees.
I’m confident each person will enjoy the experience of being amongst the bees.
