Sponsor a hive

Let’s support our delicate ecosystem together.

Why sponsor a hive?

If you love bees as much as we do, you’ll know how important they are to our ecosystem. You may also know that bee population around the world has been declining due to habitat loss, pollution and the use of pesticides.

By sponsoring a hive at Windy Acres, you’ll not only be promoting your business through our social media channels, you’ll be doing something really positive for our environment.

Your benefits as a sponsor include:

  • A hive with your brand colours* and logo

  • Naming rights for the Queen Bee of your hive

  • Regular posts to our Instagram and Facebook pages tagging your business

  • Mention on our website

  • VIP invitations to Windy Acres events

Not a business owner but love bees anyway? We welcome members of the public who are interested in sponsoring a hive. Simply fill in the form on this page to connect with us.

*The colour of the hive can impact on the comfort of the bees - very dark colours can lead to overheating. We will work together with you to determine the best colour for your hive that aligns with your branding.

 No bee, no me!

Deb Standing, Q.

Deb has a beautiful reason behind sponsoring her hive “Queen Koa”.

“This hive is dedicated to two of my little grand-munchkins who are both Warriors in our eyes, everyday fighting genetic illness. They never give up despite how tough their little lives can be and what they face daily, they smile and get on with what is dealt to them. Queen Koa’s hive colours represent Lucy and Evie’s ailment’s- Red for Cystic Fibrosis and Purple for Rett’s Syndrome. What a bright happy spot amongst the lavender – makes me smile every time I think of the hive and wonderous things happening in that little home of the humble bee. I had always toyed with a bee-hive of my own, but was aware of the importance of treating these little members of nature with special care and attention. Ensuring our garden was planted with shrubs etc beneficial to their needs, plus topping up water vessels regularly in dry times. Reading stories of their importance to our environment and healing properties, even stories dating back to Cleopatra. Consequently, my name in Hebrew means “little Bee”.”
